2.4 Optional changes to system configurations
Default values are appropriate for most configurations, but may be modified for your needs using the
ExpressNAV browser-based user interface.
It is best practice to change the default user name
and password to a user name and password
significant to you. Other configurations may also
be changed, however, use extreme caution when
changing default values.
Change current user name, password
1 Open a Command Line Interface session either
using Telnet or the serial port as shown in
Interface options
on page 29.
2Type set Username [user name]
3 Press Enter.
4Type set Password
5 Press Enter.
6 Follow the instructions on the screen to confirm
your old and new password.
Note
The user name is case insensitive and
password is case sensitive.
The user name and password for all Telnet, FTP
and ExpressNAV user interface sessions is
changed.
System Configuration
1 If you are not already in the ExpressNAV
interface, type the IP address of your appliance,
as found in Use the ExpressNAV interface
on
page 29, in a standard browser, click Enter
Here and type in your user name and
password.
2 In the left side menu items, click on the Manage
button.
3 Click on Next.
4 Click on the FastStream menu item.
5 Click on the System Configuration button
6 Click on Next.
7 You may change whether the system uses the
Simple Network Time Protocol or a manually
set time; the data rate, connection mode and
hard address value of each Fibre Channel port.
When you have completed your changes, click
on Commit.
Advanced CLI page
Changes to other parameters may be made using
the
Advanced
page.

Do not use this page unless you are
directed to by an ATTO technician.
Changing parameters may cause loss of
data and/or disruption to performance and
reliability of the FastStream.
Note
The ExpressNAV interface is the preferred
method to manage the FastStream SC 5700.
