2 Click on the Modify RAID Group Mapping
button.
3 Click on Next.
4 Follow the on-screen directions. When you
have made your changes, click on Commit.
5 A warning box appears. In the warning box,
verify that you want to complete the
configuration by clicking on Yes. Clicking on No
ends the procedure without making a change.
6 When the process is complete, the Health and
Status Monitor page appears.
Modify RAID group partitions
For an explanation of partitions, refer to
Partition
RAID groups
on page 11.
CAUTIONCAUTION
Modifying partitions may cause loss of
existing data.
1 Follow the instructions in Preliminary steps on
page 23 and click on the Manage menu item on
the left side of the page and then the RAID
Groups arrow.
2 Click on the Modify RAID Group Partitioning
button
3 Click Next
4 Select the RAID Group Name from the drop
down menu
5 Using the graphic and drop down boxes,
choose to either merge or split existing
partitions or assign different values for the
partition sizes.
6 Click Commit
7 A warning box appears. In the warning box,
verify that you want to complete the
configuration by clicking on Yes. Clicking on No
ends the procedure without making a change.
8 When the process is complete, the Health and
Status Monitor page appears.
Rebuild RAID groups
If RAID groups become compromised in some
fashion, you must rebuild groups.
1 Follow the instructions in Preliminary steps on
page 23 and click on the Manage menu item on
the left side of the page and then the RAID
Groups arrow.
2 Click on the Rebuild RAID Groups button.
3 Click on Next.
4 Follow the on-screen directions, ending by
clicking on Commit.
5 A warning box appears. In the warning box,
verify that you want to complete the
configuration by clicking on Yes. Clicking on No
ends the procedure without making a change.
6 When the process is complete, the Health and
Status Monitor page appears.
FastStream process: add or remove Hot Spares
For an explanation of Hot Spares, refer to
Use
Hot Spares
on page 13.
1 Follow the instructions in Preliminary steps on
page 23 and click on the Manage menu item on
the left side of the page and then the
FastStream SC arrow.
2 Select the Add/Remove Hot Spares button.
3 Click Next
4 Select the drive(s) you want to add or remove
from the Hot Spare pool.
5 When you have completed your changes, click
Commit.
6 A warning box appears. In the warning box,
verify that you want to complete the
configuration by clicking on Yes. Clicking on No
ends the procedure without making a change.
7 When the process is complete, the Health and
Status Monitor page appears.
