Fitting for trailer hitch
Includes the wiring up to the control unit; specially pro-
grammed control units and adapted engine cooling. The
parts kit for retrofitting is available from Audi Genuine
Accessories.
Towing bracket
Ball rod and tow ball coupling made of forged steel. Ball
coupling swings out mechanically, operated via Bowden
cable, with indicator lamp on Bowden cable and display
in instrument cluster for checking it has locked into
place correctly; including trailer stabilisation function
via the Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP)
High-gloss package
Window capping strips in anodised aluminium, exterior

Convenience key including sensor-controlled luggage
compartment release
Access authorisation system: the key only has to be car-
ried on the driver’s person; the vehicle is locked from
the outside via buttons on all four door handles; all door
handles have an aluminium-look trim strip. A sensor in
the rear bumper triggers a convenience key search at the
rear of the vehicle when it registers the appropriate kick-
ing motion being made with the foot. If the key is detec-
ted, the luggage compartment lid is opened, allowing
particularly convenient loading of the luggage compart-
ment. (Available to order as an option for S6 Saloon and
only in conjunction with tailgate with power opening
and closing for S6 Avant)
Power-assisted closing for the doors
Automatically pulls doors shut that have not fully
engaged into the lock
Garage door opener (HomeLink)
Programmable radio-operated remote control, control
buttons integrated into the front roof module; can be
used for opening various garage doors and gates; can al-
so be used for controlling security and lighting systems;
with step-by-step programming assistance via the MMI,
code identification guidance and set-up assistant using
appropriate information from the owner’s manual on
the screen, very user friendly thanks to highly integrated

Anti-theft alarm
with tow-away protection using a tilt angle sensor (can
be deactivated), including interior monitoring (can be
deactivated); alarm horn independent of the vehicle’s
electrical system for monitoring doors, bonnet and lug-
gage compartment lid

Fitting for connecting a Tracking Assistant that enables
a stolen vehicle to be located

Opened using the radio-operated remote control, the
button in the driver’s door trim, the soft-touch button in
