Audi music interface
For connecting an Apple iPod (from the 4th generation
upwards), Apple iPhone (music functions), USB storage
media and MP3 players. The Audi music interface is
housed in the centre console and operated via the MMI
or Leather-covered multifunction steering wheel. Please
note: can only be used with a special adapter cable
(available from Audi Genuine Accessories). Information

Preparation for Rear Seat Entertainment
Includes preliminary wiring and fixture for the brackets
in the driver and front-passenger seat backrests. The ap-

Telephone and communication
Bluetooth interface
Part of MMI radio plus, MMI navigation and MMI naviga-
tion plus with MMI touch; Bluetooth-compatible mobile
phones can be connected to the vehicle via the interface;
hands-free calls in the vehicle by means of microphone.
Including Bluetooth audio streaming (depending on

Fitting for mobile phone (Bluetooth)
Featuring a hands-free facility (including voice control
for the telephone functions) and a fitting for an optional
mobile-specific charger (available from Audi Genuine
Accessories) with a connection to the external aerial
(via the base plate including adapter); operation via the
MMI, the Leather-covered multifunction steering wheel
or by voice control; situated in the centre armrest; infor-

BOSE surround sound
Surround sound reproduction with 14 loudspeakers in-
cluding centre speaker in the dashboard and subwoofer
in the parcel shelf; 2 surround sound loudspeakers in
the C/D-post; 12-channel amplifier with over 600 watts
of total output; AudioPilot® for noise-dependent volume
adjustment; powerful and accurate bass reproduction,
lifelike sound with a natural timbre and three-dimen-
sionality for an outstanding acoustic experience; sound
system perfectly matched to the interior acoustics of the
vehicle. Reproduction of 5.1 surround sound is possible
in conjunction with MMI navigation plus with MMI touch
CD changer
in glove compartment, for six CDs (MP3- and WMA-ca-
pable), shock resistant, no cartridge, CDs can be loaded
and changed individually. Music files with digital rights
management (DRM) cannot be played
DVD/CD changer
in glove compartment, for 6 DVDs or CDs, supports e. g.
audio CDs, video DVDs and MP3, WMA, AAC, MPEG-4;
supports up to 4,000 tracks per medium; shock resist-
ant; DVDs and CDs can be changed individually; fast
forward and rewind, random playback possible. Music
files with digital rights management (DRM) cannot be
played
Radio and TV systems
Digital Audio Broadcasting reception (DAB)
In addition to the range of analogue stations, reception
of digital radio stations with improved sound quality,
including DAB+ and DMB audio. In conjunction with MMI
navigation plus with MMI touch, a second DAB tuner
searches continuously for alternative frequencies on
which the same programme is being broadcast, while
the station list is updated at the same time. Please note:
reception depends on local digital network availability.
TV reception
Reception of unscrambled digital (DVB-T) television
channels (MPEG 2 or MPEG 4 standard), DVB-T audio
channels, video text and Electronic Programme Guide
(EPG). External AV-IN connection via adapter cables
(available from Audi Genuine Accessories). Please note:
TV reception depends on digital network availability.
No AV or TV/video output when vehicle is moving (audio
output also when vehicle is moving)

Part of MMI radio plus, MMI navigation and MMI naviga-
tion plus with MMI touch; 6-channel amplifier, 10 loud-
speakers delivering outstanding sound, including centre
speaker in the dashboard, subwoofer in the parcel shelf,

Surround sound reproduction with 15 loudspeakers in-
cluding subwoofer and centre speaker, each with its own
amplifier channel; polished loudspeaker covers in alu-
minium; automatically extending acoustic lenses for ex-
cellent sound performance and perspective from every
seat; 10-channel DSP all-digital amplifier; all-digital,
highly efficient 5-channel ICE Power amplifier for woof-
ers and subwoofer; with total output of over 1,200
watts; 5.1 surround sound reproduction possible; priva-
cy function: encapsulated loudspeaker casings minimise
escape of sound to the outside of the vehicle to provide
privacy when using the phone in hands-free mode, for
example; in addition to this, a precisely defined loud-
speaker effect is achieved; noise-dependent volume
adjustment
MMI® touch
Part of MMI navigation plus; touch-sensitive control
panel for intuitive operation of the MMI; letters and
numbers can be entered without drivers taking their
eyes off the road; contextual entry of letters and num-
bers for navigation destinations via handwriting recogni-
tion, selection from address book or entry of telephone
numbers with acoustic feedback, simple movement of
navigation map and selection of points of interest; selec-
tion of 6 freely programmable radio station presets
Driver information system with 7-inch colour display
Part of MMI navigation plus with MMI touch, high-reso-
lution TFT colour display in the driver’s direct field of
view; displays, in addition to the standard driver infor-
mation system, information from the driver assistance
systems, the media being used, gear selection, outside
temperature and other display content from the MMI
system, including – if fitted – navigation, night vision
assistant and telephone menu. The integrated efficiency
programme helps you with consumption data overviews,
a display of additional consumers, an enlarged gearshift
display and fuel-saving tips for a particularly economical
driving style; very clearly arranged with easily readable
header and status lines (tab concept) and automatic
brightness adjustment; operated via the leather-covered
multifunction steering wheel
