Dear Audiophile, congratulations and thank you for choosing the Audio Analogue Class A SE power amplifier. You’re now the owner of a unit that establishes a new reference in the category of high-quality and high-versatility stereophonic products. The Class A SE, a dualmono design, provides circuital solutions with no compromises and features capable to satisfy the most demanding user. The Class A SE delivers 50 Watt in a 8 Ohm load. This power doubles every halving of the load up to less than 2 Ohm.
Front panel 1) STAND-BY BUTTON ( 1 ). It’s located under the front panel. Pushed for 3 seconds turns on the amplifier. Pushed again shut it off immediately. 2) STATUS LED ( 2 ). This LED is “low intensity red” when the amplifier is off. It’s “bright red” whent the power amplifier is turning on. It’s green when the power amplifier is operating and “blinking red” is there is a problem. Pannello frontale 1) STAND-BY BUTTON ( 1 ). E’ posizionato sotto lo chassis frontale.
Back panel • RIGHT SPEAKER OUT: Right speaker out connector. • LEFT SPEAKER OUT: Left speaker out connector. • INPUT LEFT: Unbalanced line left input. • INPUT RIGHT: Unbalanced line right input. • BALANCED INPUT : Balanced line input for bridged mode (the signal MUST be differential). • AC MAINS: Connect here the provided power cord. • FUSE: If necessary, replace it with an other of the same kind (see back panel label). • POWER: Main switch.
Unpacking and checking Class A package Carefully open the package to avoid damaging the content. The package should contain: • • • 1 Class A SE power amplifier. 1 power cord. 1 instruction manual. If one of the items listed above is missing, please contact your Audio Analogue retailer. After extracting the smallest items from the package, pull out the unit carefully. Bridge connection To use Class A SE power amplifier in mono configuration (bridged mode) is MANDATORY to have a preamplifier with balanced output. Connect the preamplifier to the XLR input. Connect the negative poles of the speaker outputs connectors using a GOOD speaker cable (NOTE: this connection is mandatory; without this connection the power amplifier can be damaged) . Finally connect the speaker to the positive poles of the amplifier speaker output.
