You’re now the owner of a unit that establishes a new reference in the category of high-quality and high-versatility stereophonic products. Maestro Settanta provides circuital solutions with no compromises and features capable to satisfy advanced users’ demands.

Whenever damages to the equipment occur because of fixing and modifications made form non-authorized staff or because of normal deterioration of the system.

Front panel 1) Input selector. It allows you to choose the source visualizing it on the display. If you turn the knob when the unit is in standby mode, it will switch to normal mode. 2) Volume control. Fading level is shown on the display. If you turn the knob when the unit is in standby mode, it will switch to normal mode. 3) Standby led. It lights red when the unit is in the standby mode. 4) VFD display. It shows the pre-amplifier status or the set-up options.
Back panel 1) RIGHT SPEAKER OUT. Right speaker out connector. 2) LEFT SPEAKER OUT. Left speaker out connector. 3) EARTH. Turntable ground connector (to be used only when phono in is in use) 4) PH/1. Phono/line in, configurable from set-up. 5) BALANCED inputs 6) 2,3,4,5. Line inputs 7) REC OUT. Tape out. 8) PRE OUT. Pre-amplifier out. 9) RS-232 serial port 10) IEC standard power inlet. Connect here the provided power cord. 11) Fuses.
Remote controller • STBY. Standby. One pressure of this button activates/deactivates standby mode. If the unit is not in the standby mode and the button is released after a few seconds, “bypass” option is activated (check Notes on inputs bypassing section later in the manual). • VOL+/VOL-. Volume setting. • MUTE. Activates/deactivates muting. When mute is activated, volume level is reduced to background level and “Mute” signal is shown. • IN+/IN-.
Unpacking and checking package Carefully open the package to avoid damaging the content. The package should contain: • 1 Maestro Settanta • 1 remote controller • 1 power cord • 2 AAA batteries (already placed in the remote controller) • 1 instruction manual If one of the items listed above is missing, please contact your Audio Analogue retailer. After extracting the smallest items from the package, pull out the unit carefully. Separate the package from the anti-shock expanded-foam protections.

Powering up Maestro Settanta Plug the Maestro Settanta into the power outlet and switch on the main power supply switch placed in the rear of the unit. The unit automatically enters in the STANDBY mode. When the “STBY” button on the remote controller is pressed or a knob on the front panel is turned, the amplifier turns on and a presentation message is shown on the display, followed by the indication of the amplifier status.

Volume settings and silencing (mute) The volume knob on the front panel and the Vol+/Vol- buttons on the remote controller change the general sound level. It means that the volume of the two channels is altered identically. It is possible to modify the relative level of each channel changing the balance option in the setup.

Note: all commands are echoed to the controller. All command except %AAVER are answered with ‘Done’ when executed. %AAVER is answered with the version number string. Invalid commands are ignored.
