Inputs 7 and 8 are switchable between the analog inputs and the S/PDIF digital inputs, via the Sync Source drop-down menu in the Control Panel. When the sync source is set to “External,” input channels 7 and 8 receive their signal from the S/PDIF input. The next eight channels are returns from your DAW application software.
