Thank you for purchasing this Audio-Technica product. Before using the product, read
through this caution guide to ensure that you wi ll use the product correctly. Please
keep this manual for future reference.
■ Safety precautions ----------
Although this product was designed to be used safely, fai l ing to use it correctly may
result in an accident. To ensure safety, observe all warnings and cautions while using
the product.
Cautions for the headphones
• Do not use the product near medical equipment. Radio waves may affect cardiac
pacemakers and medical electronic equipment. Do not use the product inside
medical facilities.
• When using the product in aircraft, follow airline instructions.
• Do not use the product near automatic control devices such as automatic doors and
fire alarms. Radio waves may affect electronic equipment and cause acc i dents due
to malfunction.
• Do not disassemble, modify or attempt to repair the product to avo id electric shock,
malfunction or fire.
• Do not subject the product to st rong impact to avoid electric shock, malfunction or
fire.
• Do not handle the product with wet hands to avoid electric shock or injury.
• Disconnect the product from a device if the product begins to malfunction,
producing smoke, odor, heat, unwanted noise or showing othe r signs of damage. In
such a case, contact your local Audio-Technica dealer.
• Do not allow the product to get wet to avoid el ectric shock or malfunct i on.
• Do not put foreign matter such as combustible material~ metal, or liquid in the product
• Do not cover the product with a cloth to avoid fire or in j ury by overheating.
• Follow applicable laws regarding mobile phone and headphone use if using
headphones while driving.
• Do not use the product in places where the inability to hear ambient sound presen ts a

• The product effectively shields external sound, so you may not hear sound around
you clearly while wearing the product. Adjust t he volume to a level where you can
still hea r background sound and monitor the area around you while li stening to
music.
• Store the product out of the reach of small children.
• To prevent damage to your hearing, do not raise the volume too high. Listen i ng to
loud sound for an extended period may cause temporary or permanent hearing loss.
• Discontinue use if skin irritation results from direct contact with the product.
• If you begin to feel unwell wh i le using the product discontinue use immediately.
• When removing the product from your ears, check to make sure the eartips are still
attached to the main unit. If the eart i ps become lodged in your ears and you are
unable to remove them, consult a physician at once.
• If you develop an itch from wearing the product, discontinue use.
Cautions for charging case
• Do not di sassemble, modify or attempt to repair the product to avo id electric shock,
malfunction or fire.
• Do not subject the pr oduct to st rong impact to avoid electric shock, ma l function or

or dusty places because such storage could cause malfunction or defect.
• Do not put it close to fire because that could cause deformation or malfunction.
• Do not use benzine, paint thinners and electrica l contact cleaner, etc . because use
of such material could cause deformation or malfunction.
Cautions for rechargeable battery
T he headphones are equ i pped wi th a rechargeable battery I lithium ion battery).
The charging case is equipped wi th a rechargeable battery I lithium polymer battery).
• If battery fluid gets into eyes, do not r ub them. Rinse thoroughly with clean water
such as tap water and consult a doctor immediately.
• If battery fluid leaks, do not touch fl uid with bare hands. If fl uid remains ins i de t he
product, it may cause malfunction. If battery flu id l eaks, contact your l ocal Audio-
Technica dealer.
- If fluid gets in your mouth, gargle thoroughly with clean water such as tap
water and consult a doctor immediately.
- If your s~n or clothing comes in contact with flu i d, immedia tely wash the affected
skin or clothing with water. If you experience sk in irn t ation, consult a doctor.
• To avoid leakage, generation of hea t or explosion:
- Never heat, disassemble or modify the battery, nor dispose of it in a fire.
- Do not attempt to pierce wi th a na il, hit wi th a hammer or step on the battery.
- Do not drop the product or subject it to strong impact.
- Do not getthe battery wet.
• Do not use, l eave or st ore the battery in the following places:
- Area exposed to direct sunlight or high temperatures and humidity
- Inside of a car under t he blazing sun
- Near heat sources such as heat registers
• Charge only with the included U SB cable to avoid malfunc t ion or fire.
• The internal rechargeable battery of th is product cannot be replaced by the user.
The battery may have reached the end of i ts service life if the usage time becomes
significantly shorter even after the battery has been fully charged. If this is the
case, t he battery needs to be repaired. Contact your local Aud io- Technica dea l er f or
repair deta i ls.
• When the product is disposed of, t he bu i lt-in rechargeable battery needs to be
di scard ed properly. Contac t your local Audio-Technica dealer to learn how to
properly dispose of the battery .

• Be su re to read the connec t ed dev i ce's user manual befo re use.
• Audio-Technica will not be li ab le in anyway for any loss of data in the un li kely
event that such losses shou ld occur while using the product.
• On public transportation or in ot her publ ic places, keep t he volume l ow so as not to
disturb other peop l e.
• Min i m~e the vo l ume on your device be f ore rep r oducing music.
• When using the product in a dry environment you may fee l a tingl i ng sensation
in your ears. This is caused by sta ti c el ectr i city accumula t ed on your body, not by
product malfunction.
• Do not subject the product to strong impact.
• Do not store t he product in direct sunlight, near heating devices, or in hot, humid,
or dusty places.
• When the product is used for a long time, the product may become di sco l ored due
to ultra violet l ight !especial ly direct sunlight) and wear.
• If the cha r ging case is pl aced in a bag w hi le the USB charging cab le is still
connected, the USB charging cable may become caught, seve r ed, or broken.
• Make sure to ho ld the pl ug when connecting and disconnect i ng the USB charg i ng
cab l e. The USB charging cab le may become severed or an accident may occur if
you pull on the cab le i tself.
• When you are not using the USB charging cable, disconnect it from the charging
case.
• When you are not using t he product, store it in the inc l uded charg i ng case .
• If you use eartips other than those included, the headphone s may not fit i nto the
cha r ging case, or may not charge. Be sure to use t he i ncluded eart i ps.
• This product can be used to talk on t he phone on ly when us i ng a mob i le tel ephone
network. Support fo r telephony apps that use a mobi le data network is not
guaranteed.
• If you use the produc t near an el ectronic device or transmitter !such as a mobi le
phone), unwanted no i se may be heard. In this case, move the product away from
the electronic device or tr ansm i tter.
• If you use the produc t near a TV or radio antenna, noise may be seen or heard in
the television or radio signa l. In this case, move the product away from the TV or
radio antenna.
• To protect the built- in recha r geab le battery, charge it at l east once ev ery 6 month s.
If too much time passes between charges, the l ife of the rechargeable battery ma y
be reduced, or the rechargeable battery may no l onger be able to be charged.
■ About water-resistant (drip-proof)
performance --------------
• The water- r esistant !drip-proof) specification of this product appl i es on ly to the
headphones, not the charging case.
• The water- r esistant !drip-proof) performance is designed to protect the headphones
if they get wet from rain, etc. !equiva l ent to I PX2). JI S/IEC protect i on grade IPX2
means that the headphones are protected aga in st water droplets fall i ng from above
at a 15-degree angle. The headphones cannot be used in hot and hum id places,
such as bathrooms.
• The headphone s are not waterproo f. Submerging t hem in water may cause
damage.

The effective communication range of this product va ries depending on obstructions
and rad io wave cond iti ons .
For a more enjoyable experience, please use the product as close as poss i ble to the
Bluetooth dev i ce. To minimize no i se and sound di sruptions, avoid pl acing your body or
other obstac l es between the product's antenna IR side) and the Bl uetooth dev i ce.
