Notes on the phone book:
- In addition, one of the five ring tones can be assigned to each phone number
stored. In this way, you can tell who is calling you simply from the ring tone.
This assignment will only work when your telephone line and also the caller
has the CLID caller display facility.
- Always enter the dialling code for all phone numbers so that the telephone
can also associate incoming local calls with a phone book entry.
- You will find further information on the caller display facility in Chapter 6.
- If the memory capacity of 50 numbers has been reached, the next time you try
to store a number the display will show the message MEMORY FULL. In
order to recreate more space, other numbers must be deleted first.
How to enter names
The number keys are also printed with letters for entering names. By repeatedly
pressing the appropriate button, upper case letters as well as numbers can be
entered.
Example: You want to enter the name "Peter".
Press: 1 x button 7, 2 x button 3, 1 x button 8, 2 x button 3, 3 x button 7
- To enter a space, press the n button once.
- A hyphen can be entered by pressing the n button twice.
- To enter the same letter twice, press the appropriate letter and then wait until
the cursor automatically jumps to the next position.
- Incorrect entries can be deleted with the
button.
