Important note: Place the handset in the base station with the display to the
front for at least 16 hours. The telephone may malfunction if the batteries are
not properly charged. The charging light
on the base station will come
on.
3.5 Charging the standard batteries
The rechargeable batteries for your telephone have a stand-by time of max. 200
hours at room temperature and a maximum talk time of up to 10 hours.
The current battery capacity is shown in the display.

If the battery capacity is too low, the symbol will flash in the display and you will
hear warning tones every 60 seconds.
To charge the batteries, place the handset in the base station with the display to
the front.
3.6 Tone (TD) or pulse (PD) dialling
This trend-setting feature enables you to use your telephone both on exchanges
with Pulse Dialling/PD and on exchanges with Tone Dialling/TD. The unit is set
in the factory to Tone Dialling (TD). If your telephone does not work on your
exchange, you can find out under Section 8.6 how to set up your telephone for
pulse dialling (PD).
3.7 Fitting the belt clip
Slide the belt clip into the guide until it audibly engages at the sides.
