Remove the back cover of the PPC-5170 (see Section 3.5.1).
The CD drive blank plate assembly is attached to the rear panel by two retention
screws (Figure 3-6).

Remove the two retention screws from the bottom panel and slide the CD drive
blank plate assembly toward the PCI riser card until it can be lifted out of the
chassis (Figure 3-7).
