3.8 Muting the handset microphone
You can use the
C/
button to turn off the handset microphone during a call. You can
then speak without being heard over the telephone (secret function). The speaker in the
handset remains switched on so that you can still hear your caller.
1. Press the
C/
button briefly, once during a call. The word MUTE will appear in
the display.
2. To turn the microphone back on, press the
C/
button briefly, once again. The
word MUTE will disappear from the display and you can continue your call as usual.
3.9 Setting the speaker volume
If you find the speaker too loud or too quiet, this can be adjusted to your taste.
During a call, you can use the buttons,
and , to adjust the speaker volume. The
volume setting will be shown in the Display as EAR VOL (1 to 5).
3.10 Redial
The redial function is especially useful if a number is engaged or the person called does
not answer. Your AUDIOLINE DECT5500+ stores the last five numbers called.
1. Press the button and the last number called will appear in the display.
2. By pressing the button again, you can display the previous number called. Use
the button to move through the list in the other direction.
3. Now press the call button, , to dial the number shown in the display.
Notice: If a number in the redial list matches a phonebook entry, the entry name will
replace the number in the display.
