R button with private branch exchanges
Ifthetelephoneis connectedtoa privatebranch exchange,all thefunctionsassociated
with the R-button,suchas transferring calls,automaticcall back,etc.,canbe used.

minewhichRecalltimemustbe set tobe able to use the functions.The retailerwhere you
purchasedthe exchangecanprovideinformationas to whetherthe telephone will work

Dialling pause
When using privatebranch exchanges,it is necessaryto dial a specificnumberto obtain
thedialling tonefor an outsideline.With someolder privatebranchexchanges,ittakesa
little timebefore thedialling tonebecomesaudible. Entera dialling pausein thecaseof
suchprivatebranchexchanges.You canthendial thephone number withouthaving to
waitfor thedialling tone.Setting the dialling pause . Page 33.
The pause can also be enteredwith the phone numbersin the phone book.
R-button and supplementary services
The telephone supportsthe supplementaryservicesofferedby your telephone network
provider, suchasbrokering,call waitingand conferencecalls.These supplementaryser-
vicescan be used in conjunction with the R-button. Please askyourtelephone network
providerwhich recall timemustbe setin ordertouse the supplementaryservices.Contact
yourtelephone networkprovider with regard toenabling supplementaryservices.Setting

Answering machine in the telephone network
Ifyourtelephonenetworkproviderincludes an answeringmachine foryouin the tele-
phone network,theenvelope icon (VMWI

)appearstoindicate new messageshave been
recordedforyou.The availabilityofan externalanswering machineand indicationof new
messages via theenvelope icon are optional servicesoffered by the telephonenetwork
provider. These functionscan only be usedwhen your telephonenetworkprovider
actuallyoffers theservice.Contactyour networkproviderforfurtherinformation.
Caller number display (CLIP

)
Ifthisfunctionis available with yourtelephoneline, the numberofthe caller appears in the
displaywhen thephone rings.Ifthe caller has suppressedtransfer ofhisphone number,
thecorrespondingmessage appears in the display.The phone numberis not displayed
and,thus,cannotbe storedin thecalls list.
The caller number display function is an optional service offered by telephone
networkproviders.Contactyournetwork providerfor furtherinformation.
