Recording, playing and deleting a memo
A memo is a message spoken directly on the answering machine, e.g. intended for other
members of the family, and can be treated in the same way as other recorded messages.
Recording the memo
A memo cannot be longer than 3 minutes.
Press and hold w Activate memo recording
{ì} ð Speak your message after the acoustic signal.

Playing back the memo
A memo is played back in the same way as an incoming message.

Remote access
It is possible to call your answering machine from a distant phone to listen to any mess-
ages recorded and execute other functions. A condition for this is that the telephone from
which you make the call can be set to Tone dialling mode (DTMF).
If you want to contact another answering machine from your telephone using remote ac-
cess, please observe the information in Section Temporary tone dialling on Page 41.
Security code for remote access
In order to use the remote access facility, you must enter the 3−digit security code. The de-
fault security code set at the factory is 000". It can be changed as follows:
2 sec Activate setting mode
w or v, Change the 1st digit and confirm
w or v, Change the 2nd digit and confirm
w or v, Change the 3rd digit and confirm
The new security code is announced.
