Remote access functions
Y = Play messages, stop or pause
Z = Play back all new messages
[ = Play back current message again
\ = Delete current message
] = Play back next message
^ = Turn the answering machine on or off.
_ = Record, delete or change greeting messages
X = Return to main menu
Y = Play back the set greeting message
Z = Record Type 1 greeting message
[ = Record Type 2 greeting message
\ = Select Type 1 greeting message

8.5.3 Switching on the answering machine remotely
Imagine that you have left your office or your house and have forgotten to switch on your
answering machine. By means of the remote access facility, you have the option of switching on
the answering machine from another telephone.
1. Call your number and let it ring 20 times.
2. The call will be automatically accepted after 20 rings and you will hear your greeting
message.
3. Press the º button and enter the three-digit PIN code.
4. Now press the ^ button within the next 8 seconds and the answering machine will be
switched on.
5. Replace the receiver.
Note: If there are messages on your answering machine that have not yet been listened to then
these will be played back first.
