Turn car off. Remove the negative battery cable and safely tuck cable out of the way. Remove the factory mirror from the windscreen. Most mirrors are removed by loosening the T20 Torx screw on the mirror base and sliding mirror upward towards the headliner. *Mirror removal process may vary by vehicle. If needed, remove body panels for mirror and camera installation. For example, the a-pillar, as shown above. Mount the Full Display mirror on the windshield by sliding the mirror mount over the button.
Route the mirror power harness to location where 12V ignition, 12V battery, and ground lines are located. Secure harness along route with foam tape and/or cable ties. Plug mirror power harness into the back of the mirror. *Commonly found in overhead, A pillar, or junction block. Black w / orange: 12V Battery Find 12V switched ignition and attach t-tap using pliers. Repeat for 12V battery and ground supply. Ensure t-tap is snapped together. Plug mirror's power harness ignition wire into t-tap.
. Vehicle Harness Mirror Harness . Route long piece of coax harness to camera mounting location. Secure coax harness along route with foam tape and/or cable ties. *If 90 degree connector cannot reach camera, another length of coax wire (purchased separately) can be used as an extention. Only use the 90 degree connector to plug into camera. Routing options vary based on vehicle features/accessories. Plug the longest piece of coax harness into the female coax connector coming from the mirror.
', ' · ... ··.. ', ' '' ·· ......... Choose appropriate window bracket for angle measured. Clean both interior and exterior of glass of mounting location. Ensure interior of glass is dry and debris free to ensure best foam adhesion during camera installation. Examples: 1J0-29°- Sports Cars/ Sedans 30°-54° - CUVs 55°-90°- SUVs/Trucks Bracket Install camera into window bracket (measured for veh icle). Do NOT take off two way tape liner. Screw in two camera set screws. Do NOT tighten.
Plug the 90 degree coax cable into the camera. Qn1x the 90 degree cable can be used to plug into the camera! Reconnect the negative battery cable. Toggle lever back towards rear of vehicle to place mirror in display mode. Turn vehicle power on. Calibration process will commence. This process takes about 60 seconds. Do not disconnect/turn off power. If mirror is not in display mode when powered up, flip to display mode.

Hold camera bracket with camera up to mounting location to test location chosen. Dry fit camera in location. Tips! Ensure camera cover does not interfere with vehicle interior. Ensure coax cable can reach and can be tucked out of the way. Do NOT take off two way tape.
(!) 1 Minute Caution! Adhesive is difficult to remove. If done incorrectly, a new bracket and adhesive is recommended. Adjust camera up or down on the window bracket so the mirrors image (in display mode) has the horizon in the upper third of the mirror. Tighten two set screws. Do not over tighten. In mounting location, place window bracket onto rear glass. Press, hold, and apply even pressure across the entire surface. Press and hold for 1 minute. Install temp should be above 50 degrees fahrenheit.
Install the wire cover over the two harnesses by seating the bottom of the cover into the mirror mount and then sliding the top of the cover up to the headliner. Place paper product (quick reference guide) in the glove box. Testing Auto-dimming Function ] = LJ To test dimming function, toggle lever forward towards windshield to place in mirror mode. While in mirror mode, using a dark cloth or cardboard, completely cover forward-looking sensor.

Refer to Compass Calibration Zone Map to find correct compass zone setting for your geographical location. b) To change the zone setting, push and hold the button for approximately 9 seconds until a number appears in the display. c) Press button repeatedly until desired compass zone number is reached. This intelligent rear vision kit consists of a unique The FDM offers bimodal functionality. In mirror mode, it functions as a standard auto-dimming rearview mirror.
FDM Operation Mirror Mode Display Mode After installation and before driving, place the FDM in mirror mode by pushing the toggle switch at the base of the mirror away from the driver (toward the windshield). Adjust the mirror as necessary for proper vision out of the rear window. To activate display mode, pull the togg le switch toward the driver. This illuminates the display to provide a real-time, wide-angle video feed from the rearward-facing camera.
Precaution! Before programming Homel ink to a garage door opener or gate operator, make sure that people and objects are out of the way of the device to prevent potential harm or damage. When programming a garage door opener, it is advised to park outside of the garage. Do not use Hornelink with any garage door opener that lacks safety stop and reverse features as required by U.S. federal safety standards (this includes any garage door opener model manufactured before April 1, 1982).
Press t he Homelink button on the FDM and observe the indicator light. If the indicator light remains constant green, your device should operate when the Homelink button is pressed. At this point if you r device operates, programming is complete. If the indicator light rapidly flashes green, firmly press, hold for two seconds and release the Homelink button up to three times to complete the programming process. At this point if your device operates, programming is complete.
Reprogramming a Single To program a previously trained button, follow these steps: Homelink Button 1 Press and hold the desired Homelink button. DO NOT release the button. 2 The indicator light will illuminate green. After 20 seconds it will begin to flash orange. The Homelink button can be released at this point. Proceed with "Programming a New Homelink Button" step 3.
• Troubleshooting Switch mirror back into mirror mode by pushing toggle switch forward. Then readjust mirror head so that driver has a clear rearward view. When placed back into display mode, the mirror head will be tilted upward, removing the interior reflection. Check rear glass to ensure it is clean. During certain weather conditions the rear vehicle glass can become foggy with condensation. Switch to mirror mode until camera view is clear again.
