Model APS-15CL REMOTE CONTROL AUTO SECURITY SYSTEM Installation Manual PRE-INSTALLATION NOTES: PASSIVE / ACTIVE ARMING SELECTION: This alarm can be programmed to operate as either a “PASSIVE” or “ACTIVE” arming security system. As a “Passive” alarm, the system will automatically arm itself approximately 30 seconds after the ignition key is turned off, one door is opened, then all vehicle doors are closed, (arming is suspended until the last door is closed).

FUTURE REFERENCE CHART: As an added convenience to the professional security installer, a chart has been printed in this guide for recording wire colors, component mounting locations, and any other useful tips particular to the vehicle you are working on. Taking a few extra moments on each installation to fill in the chart, can save you valuable time in the future. CHANNEL 2 OUTPUT: This system provides an additional hardwire remote output to control an assortment of optional upgrades.

WIRING THE SYSTEM: RED FUSED WIRE - (VOLTAGE SENSING): + 12 VDC CONSTANT BATTERY SOURCE This wire controls the sensitivity of the voltage sensing circuit, which detects the turning on of an interior light when a door is opened. It will also detect the switching on of parking or headlamps, and in many cases will trigger the alarm when a thermostatically controlled electronic radiator cooling fan switches on.

GREY WIRE: VALET SWITCH Connect the grey wire from the alarm harness to the grey wire from the valet switch. Connect the black wire from the valet switch to chassis ground. BLUE w/WHITE TRACER WIRE: L.E.D. Connect the blue w/white wire from the alarm harness to the blue wire from the dash mounted LED. Connect the red wire from the dash LED to a fused +12 VDC battery source. NOTE: Always connect the blue LED wire first. This will prevent permanent damage to the LED.

Model APS-15CL NOTICE D'INSTALLATION DU SYSTÈM DE SÉCURITÉ AUTO À COMMANDE À DISTANCE PRÉPARATION À L'INSTALLATION : SÉLECTION ARMEMENT PASSIF/ACTIF: Cette alarme est programmable pour fonctionner comme système de sécurité à armement "PASSIF" ou "ACTIF". En mode alarme "Passive" le système s'arme automatiquement environ 30 secondes après la mise en position arrêt de la clé de contact, l'ouverture d'une porte, puis la fermeture de toutes les portes du véhicule.

CÂBLAGE DU SYSTÈME FIL ROUGE À FUSIBLE (DÉTECTION DE TENSION) ALIMENTÉ EN PERMANENCE PAR LA TENSION SONSTANTE +12 VCC DE LA BATTERIE: Ce fil commande la sensibilité du circuit de détection de tension qui détecte la mise en marche d'un éclairage intérieur lors de l'ouverture d'une porte; il détecte également l'éclairage des feux de stationnement ou des phares et dans de nombreux cas, déclenche l'alarme lors de la mise en marche d'un ventilateur électronique de refroidissement du radiateur à commande thermos

IMPORTANT: Audiovox ne recommande pas l'usage de ce relais pour interrompre le circuit du fil de démarreur. Il faut connecter ce relais uniquement au fil d'alimentation du solénoïd à courant faible du démarreur, comme indiqué sur le schéma de AS-9256 câblage. FIL GRIS - COMMUTATEUR VALET: Connecter le fil gris sortant du faisceau de conducteurs au fil gris du commutateur "Valet". Connecter le fil noir sortant du commutateur Valet à la mise àla masse.

Model APS-15CL GUÍA DE INSTALACIÓN DE SEGURIDAD DE AUTOMÓVILES A CONTROL REMOTO NOTAS DE PREINSTALACIÓN: SELECCIÓN DE ACTIVACIÓN PASIVA/ACTIVA: Esta alarma puede programarse para funcionar ya sea cono un sistema de seguridad de activación "PASIVA" o "ACTIVA". Como alarma "pasiva", el sistema se activará automáticamente aproximadamente 30 segundos después de apagar la llave de encendido, abrir una puerta y cerrar todas las puertas del vehículo.

CABLEADO DEL SISTEMA CABLE ROJO CON FUSIBLE (SENSOR DE VOLTAJE) - BATERÍA DE +12 VDC CONSTANTE: Este cable controla la sensibilidad del circuito sensor de voltaje que detecta cuando una lámpara interior se prende al abrirse una puerta y también detectará cuando se preden las luces de estacionamiento o luces altas y en muchos casos disparará la alarma al prenderse un ventilador de enfriamiento electrónico controlado térmicamente.

CABLE GRIS - INTERRUPTOR VALET: Conecte el cable gris del arnés de la alarma al cable gris del interruptor valet. Conecte el cable negro del interruptor valet al cable a tierra del chasis. CABLE AZUL C/FRANJAS BLANCAS - INDICADOR L.E.D. Conecte el cable azul con franjas blancas del arnés de la alarma al cable azul del indicador LED montado en el tablero. Conecte el cable rojo del LED del tablero a una batería con fusibles de +12 VCC.
