MATERIAL TO USE IN THIS PACKAGE: 1) AVXMTGHR1DA System Monitor with DVD Player (AVXMTGHR1DA) (1pc) NOTE: The AVXMTGHR1DA monitor has been designed with interchangeable covers. The headrest cover as supplied is covered with shale colored vinyl. Black vinyl and pewter vinyl can replace the shale colored vinyl. PUSH NOTE: Headrest cables are included with the headrest DVD player and the headrest monitor.
HEADREST COVER REPLACEMENT: NOTE: If desired, replace the headrest cover before installing the headrest in the vehicle. 1. Using a Philips screwdriver, unscrew the two Philips screws and lift the bottom edge of the monitor upward. Unscrew Philips Screws 2. Remove the velcro tabs securing the headrest cover. Remove Velcro Tabs 3. Replace the headrest cover with the desired color and secure the headrest cover by re-attaching the velcro tabs. 4.
VEHICLE PREPARATION 1) Decide on the system configuration and the options that will be installed. 2) Read the manual and get familiar with the electrical requirements and connections. 3) Decide on the mounting locations and methods of mounting the products that will be connected to the AVXMTGHR1DA. 4) Prepare the vehicle by removing any interior trim necessary to gain access to the vehicle's wiring as well as all areas where interconnecting wire harnesses will be located.
) Install the headrests: a. Remove vehicle's original headrests. b. Insert appropriate support tube adaptors in vehicle post guides (if needed). c. Hold the headrest above the seat and insert the two cables into the vehicle support guides. Make sure that the headrest is in the correct position (display facing the rear). d. Route the cables through the seat back and out the bottom of the seat while pulling the cables to remove the slack.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION NOTE: The remote control has a battery installed with a pull tab to prevent battery discharge. Remove the pull tab before attempting to use the remote. Battery Replacement 1. Depress the tab (1) and slide the battery holder (2) out in the direction of the arrow. 2. Install one CR2025 battery. Make sure that the proper polarity (+ or -) is observed. 3. Slide the battery holder into the remote control until it locks.
* Function control is available on the unit and the remote control. 1. POWER Button* Press this button to turn the unit ON and OFF. 2. MENU / PBC Button Press this button to call up DVD disc Root Menu. 3. NUMBER Button Allows the user to enter numbers 0 to 9 to 10/0 and 10+ for selection of CD tracks, DVD chapters, and passwords. 4. DISPLAY Button Press to display current disc information while the disc is playing.

Once the desired adjustment bar is displayed, use the cursor buttons t u to adjust the setting. The display will automatically turn or if no adjustments are made within 6 seconds is pressed. 12. 21. PLAY/PAUSE Button* Press to activate the play mode when a disc is loaded in the disc compartment, a USB memory device or a SD card is connected to the unit. Allows the user to pause the playback. Pressing the button again button will resume normal playback. 22. STOP Button* Press to stop playback. (Playback will resume from the point it is stopped). Press twice to stop playback fully. (Playback will resume from the beginning of the disc). 23.
MENU ADJUSTMENT The System Menu contains features and options that allow you to customize your system. 1) Press the “ ” button on unit or press the CONSOLE button on the remote control, the menu display below will appear on screen. Use the “t u” buttons to change the setting . To select the next menu press the “ ” button or the CONSOLE button on the remote control. 2) 3) MENU DISPLAY The picture can be adjusted under the system menu. The BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST adjustments range from 0 to 32.
SETTINGS AND ADJUSTMENTS The Setup Menu contains features and options that let you customize your DVD player. For example, you can set a language for the on-screen display or prevent DVD playback for children. Using the Setup Menu 1. Press the SETUP button on the remote. The Setup Menu appears on the screen. On - The screen shows angle mark if an angle option is available on a DVD.
Captions The Captions setup allows you to turn on/off the closed caption signal. On - Turns on the closed caption. Off - Turns off the closed caption. - - General Setup Page - Tv Display Ps Angle Mark On Eng Osd Lang Captions On On Screen Saver On Off Last Memory On Closed Caption Screen Saver This allows you to set the Screen Saver mode. ON -Screen saver will appear OFF -Screen saver will not appear Note: The DVD player will enter Screen Saver mode if the unit is inactive for approximately 2 Minutes.
Equalizer The equalizer allows you to choose from a variety of preset equalizer settings. - - Audio Setup Page - Speaker Setup Equalizer The options are : None, Rock, Pop, Live, Dance, Techno, Classic and Soft. Go to Equalizer Page - - Equalizer Page - Eq Type None None Rock Pop Live Dance Techno Classic Soft Select Equalizer Type Video Setup Panel Quality The Video Setup function allows you to choose and set the Panel Quality Sharpness to High, Medium or Low.
Preference Page This menu page available if there is no disc in the disc tray, the disc tray is open or the disc in the disc tray is playing. There are seven items in the Preference Page sub menu . They are Tv Type, Audio, Subtitle, Disc Menu, Parental, Password and Default. Tv Type This function matches video output of the unit to the - - Preference Page - Tv Type NTSC PAL Audio AUTO Eng Eng NTSC Subtitle Eng Disc Menu Parental Password Default broadcast system of a connected screen.
Subtitle - - Preference Page - This item allows you to select a preferred subtitle Tv Type NTSC English Audio French Eng language. This function only applies to discs Eng Spanish Subtitle Eng Chinese Disc Menu encoded with subtitles. Parental Japanese Password Korean Options: English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Russian Default Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Thai.
Password This function allows you to change the password. The default password is 3308. 1. To select the password feature use the cursor button p or q to highlight Password. Press the cursor button u to open the sub menu that contains the different options available. Press the cursor button p or q to highlight the desired option, and press ENTER to confirm the selection. To change the password: 1. Use the cursor button q to highlight Password. Press the cursor button u to highlight Change. Press Enter. 2.
Playing DVDs Press the play button to activate the play mode when a disc is loaded in the disc compartment,Press the DISPLAY button on the remote control to display the status banner. The banner includes disc title, chapter, and elapsed time. Title selection Press numeric (0-9) buttons to initiate a change of chapter title selection. Playing USB Devices The System will detect the insertion of the USB media automatically if no disc is loaded.
Playing MP3 Discs Mp3 is a format for storing digital audio. An audio CD-quality song can be compressed into MP3 format with very little loss of quality, while taking up much less space. CD-R discs that have been encoded in MP3 format can be played on the DVD player. The DVD player plays the songs in the order they were burned on to the disc. Selecting Folders and Songs When an MP3 disc is loaded in the player, the navigation menu will appear on the screen automatically.
DVD Basics To get the optimum use out of the DVD Player, please read the following:. DVD Region Code The DVD player is preset to a region code at the factory depending on where the DVD player is sold. A DVD from a different region cannot be played in this unit and the unit will display "WRONG REGION”. Region 1- USA, Canada Region 2- Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Greenland Region 3- S.
TROUBLESHOOTING PROBLEM SOLUTION IR remote inoperative • Verify that the battery in the remote is fresh. • Verify that the remote sensor eye is not obstructed. Disc won't play • Insert a disc with the label side facing upwards. • Check the type of disc you put into disc tray. This DVD only plays DVD, audio CD and MP3s. • Both the unit and the disc are coded by region. If the regional codes don’t match, the disc can’t be played. Play starts, but then stops immediately • The disc is dirty. Clean it.
