Installation
The Auto-Net 230 utilizes two (2) AMP Mate-n-Lok connectors for connection to the
sofa power, and switches.
The three- (3) pin connector has the following usage:
Pin 1 - Vehicle ground (supplies groundside for motor)
Pin 2 - Switch output
Pin 3 - Fused battery input
The four- (4) pin connector has the following usage:
Pin 1 - Motor B-
Pin 2 - Motor A-
Pin 3 - Motor A+
Pin 4 - Motor B+
A fused battery input capable of sourceing 30 Amps is connected to the battery Input of
the Auto-Net 230. A vehicle ground capable of carrying 30 Amps must also be
connected to the Auto-Net 230.
A modified rocker switch or push-button switch is required to operate the Auto-Net 230.
The rocker switch must have a 470ohm resistor connected to the outer terminals. The
switch input of the Auto-Net 230 is connected to the center terminal of the switch.
Ground is connected to the lower terminal of the switch. The upper terminal of the
switch is not connected to any wires.
The motors are connected directly to the four-pin connector of the Auto-Net 230. The
Auto-Net 230 supplies the proper voltages to the motors for the required direction of
travel. The motors should not be grounded or directly connected to any other source for
power other than the Auto-Net 230.
The Auto-Net 230 has a current adjust to cut-off the power to the motors during a stall.
The Auto-Net 230 comes factory shipped with the setting at midpoint which, is
equivalent to 20-22 Amps. Some adjustment may be necessary based upon any drag
the sofa possess from installation and other unknown conditions. To test the proper
level, send the sofa in one direction until it stalls. The power should disconnect after 2 -
3 seconds. If it does not, the level needs to be lowered. If the motor stalls before
reaching the end of travel, the level needs to be increased.
