Sealant Leaks Encapsulated Windows
You can seal the entire window by masking off the window frame and body, and apply-
ing a thin bead of sealant there. Smooth with a wet finger and remove tape for a clean
finish. (Recommend black silicone).
Leaking urethane sealant may have been applied incorrectly, or “blown out” by slam-
ming doors when still wet.
Interior trim. May have to be pulled back or loosened to locate and repair leak.
Locate leak and fill hole from inside with urethane or silicone. Use a small tip and a
small screw driver or awl etc. To spread sealant around and push into hole.
