The timer receives it’s impute from the OEM dome light circuit. The dome light circuit is
brought into the module via a two-pin plug, J2. When the door is opened, 12 volts ap-
pear between these two pins. (The circuitry will accept either polarity of voltage at this
plug.) When the Smart Fuse Block senses 12 volts Plus, it turns on the Courtesy Light
Function. When the doors are all closed, the Courtesy Light timer begins to run, hold-
ing the lights on for 12 seconds. If the ignition is turned on, the lights will go out imme-
diately.
If the doors are left open, the courtesy lights will go off in 20 minutes. To get the cour-
tesy Lights output to come on again, after this happens, the timer will have to be reset.
Closing all the doors can do this and re-opening one or the ignition can be turned on.
Fuses
The fuses are the standard, plastic “ATO”, blade (automotive) type.
There are 10 positions for the fuses in the module. These are fed directly from the bat-
tery, through the ignition, Switched Outputs, the Courtesy Light relay, and for panel
back lighting.
The 10 fuses and their sizes are as listed:
