D1788ES 7” LCD MONITOR, DVD PLAYER WITH BUILT-IN BATTERY AND EXTRA MONITOR

A. Introduction Thank you for selecting the D1788ES portable DVD player. The main features include two 7" Wide Screen (16:9 Aspect Ratio) Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) monitors and a DVD player. The unit applies the latest state of the art electronics and is designed for use in hotels, offices home or vehicle. The unit is constructed to provide years of reliable, trouble-free service, and is compact so that you can take it with you anywhere and is designed for quick and easy installation.
5. Cleaning Unit When cleaning, make sure the system is unplugged from the power source. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a cloth lightly dampened with water for cleaning the exterior of the system only. 6. Disc Do not use irregularly shaped discs such as heart or star-shaped discs as they may cause the unit to malfunction. Do not stick paper, tape or glue on the disc. Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or heat sources such as hot air ducts. Do not touch the surface of disc.
D. Powering and Installation 1. Powering the system indoors (Refer to Figure 1) Plug one end of the AC to DC adapter into the DC 9-12V jack on the right side of the main unit, then plug the other end into the 100240V AC power receptacle. Figure 1 2. Powering the system in a car (Refer to Figure 2) The DC power adapter has two 9V output plugs. Plug the ends of the DC power adapter output into the DC 9-12V jack on the main unit and the extra screen and plug the input end into the vehicle power socket.
3. Built-in Battery Plug one end of the AC to DC adapter into the DC jack on the side of the player, then plug the other end into the 120V AC power outlet. Make sure the player is in the “Power Off” mode. Once fully charged, the LED indicator will turn off. Once the indicator is off, remove the AC to DC adapter wall plug. NOTE: Your new battery must be charged a minimum of 8 hours before the first usage.
1). Unfold the carry bag, and place the DVD player on the bag beneath the elastic straps. Ensure that the unit’s corners are secured by the elastic straps. 2). Secure the upper portion of the carry bag to headrest support bars using the headrest strap. Adjust the headrest strap until the bag is firmly secured. 3). Secure the lower portion of the carry bag to the vehicle seat back using the seat back strap. Adjust the seat back strap until the bag is firmly secured.

H. Setup Press ‘SETUP’ to display the Main screen of the SETUP Menu on the screen. Press ‘SETUP’ again to exit the SETUP Menu and the unit will resume it’s last playback mode. 1) Press SETUP, the "‘GENERAL SETUP PAGE "’ will display on screen. J. MENU A DVD is divided into sections called titles and chapters. When you play a DVD, a root menu of the disc will appear on the screen of your TV or Monitor. The contents of the menu vary from disc to disc. Press ‘MENU’ during playback to display the menu. Some DVDs only allow you to select disc playback options using the DVD root menu. K. DISPLAY (Display contents vary from disc to disc.) 1. PLAYING TIME AND REMAINING TIME a.
c. Press ‘DISPLAY’ a third time to display the Elapsed Time for the chapter. The heading will disappear automatically in 3 seconds. Chapter Elapsed Time Screen Display d. Angle Screen Display 3. SUBTITLE During disc playback press ‘SUB’ to select the subtitle language you desire*, with the current Subtitle Language Number (1) and the total Number of Subtitle Languages (2) displayed. If there are multiple languages press ‘SUB’ again to select another subtitle language. To turn subtitles OFF, press the ‘SUB’ button until ‘SUB OFF’ is displayed. The Subtitle display will disappear automatically if the ‘SUB’ button is not pressed again within 3 seconds.
4. AUDIO During playback press ‘AUDIO’ to select the audio language you desire*, with the current Audio Channel Number (1) and the total number of Audio Channels (2) displayed. Press AUDIO again to select another audio language. The audio display will disappear automatically if the ‘AUDIO’ button is not pressed within 3 seconds. Audio 1/ 2: AC-3 5 . 1CH Audio Language Screen Display * Some DVDs only allow access to this function through the DVD menu. 5.
6. A-B REPEAT a. During playback press ‘A-B’ to set the Starting Point A. A-B Repeat Starting Point Screen Display b. Press ‘A-B’ a second time to set the Ending Point B and the player will repeatedly play the part between Point A and Point B. A-B Repeat Ending Point Screen Display c. Press A-B a third time to cancel A-B repeat and resume playback.
7. REPEAT a. During playback press ‘1/ALL’ once to repeatedly play the current chapter. Chapter Repeat ON Screen Display b.During playback press ‘1/ALL’ again to repeatedly play the current title. Title Repeat ON Screen Display c. During playback press ‘1/ALL’ a third time to repeat all Chapters and Titles.
d. Press ‘1/ALL’ a fourth time, to resume normal play. Repeat Off Screen Display 8. FORWARD/REVERSE SCAN a. During playback press !! to scan forward at 2x, 4x, 8x,16x, 32x and normal speed. b. During playback press "" to scan forward at 2x, 4x, 8x,16x, 32x and normal speed. L. PLAYING AUDIO CDS When an CD disc is inserted into the unit, the Menu Screen appears. You can use Up and DOWN button to choose the song you desired. Press ENTER to play.
1. USING THE REPEAT FEATURE The default mode for the Repeat feature is OFF. Pressing ‘1/ALL’ consecutively changes the repeat options: • Repeat one- repeats the track that is playing. • Repeat All- repeats the disc that is playing. • Repeat Off As you toggle through the options, the repeat option changes. The selected repeat option loops repeatedly until you turn it off. 2. A-B REPEAT a. During playback press ‘A-B’ to set the Starting Point A. b.
When an MP3 disc is inserted into the unit, the Menu Screen appears automatically. You can use the Menu Screen to change folders and songs. The system plays the songs in the order they were burned onto the disc. 1. Press the or button to choose a folder from the folder list. 2. Press ENTER to select the highlighted folder. The songs available under the folder will be listed. 3. Use or button to choose a song from the list. Press ENTER to select and begin playback of the highlighted song. 4.

Playing JPEG files 1) Load the JPEG Disc into tray. 2) The pictures contained will be displayed automaticaly after loading. 3) You can view the pricture you selected by pressing" SKIP+ " or "SKIP " buttons. 4) Press the "Down" button to rotate the picture Clockwise. 5) Pressing the ZOOM button and the image will enlarge picture125%,150%,200% or zoom out by 75%,50% the original size. When the image is enlarged, you may use the navigation buttons to view blocked parts of the picture.
2. Connecting Optional Headphones Simply plug the optional headphones into either Headphone jack 1 or Headphone jack 2 on the right side of the DVD Player. Q. Built-In Rechargeable Battery The DVD player utilizes a long-life Li-Polymer battery for portability. Li-Polymer batteries feature high storage capacity and low level of degradation. This means the Li-Polymer batteries do not have “Memory Effect” and thus can be recharged regardless of whether the battery is fully or only partially discharged. The battery must be charged at least 8 hours prior to first use.
