You can switch off the readiness (call acceptance) by tapping and
switch it on again by tapping . The symbol always reflects the current
status.
Important: If the initialisation is not successful after inserting the memory
card ( is still visible with short interruptions), the card is not supported.
Further steps
– Create one or more separate announcements (see page 49).
– Configure the answering machine according to your requirements. Carry
out the configuration either using the menu on the telephone display (see
the Operation Guide of the telephone) or using the PC software included in
the package (recommended; see page 52).
Note: If you would like to remove the card, you can unlock it by lightly
pressing on the memory card.
Creating an Announcement for the Answering Machine (only
COMfortel 2600)
Requirements
– Answering machine put into operation
1. Press the menu key.
2. Tap successively on answer.machine > settings > edit announcem. >
new announcement.
3. Enter a name for the announcement using the keypad.
4. Tap on OK to complete the entry.
5. Tap on OK to start the recording.
6. Record the announcement.
7. Tap on OK to stop the recording.
8. Tap on playback.
You will hear the announcement you just recorded.
9. Tap on store.
Note: If you are not satisfied with the results, tap on new announcement.
After doing this, you can make a new recording.
