2 BAE SeriesOwner’s Manual
Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Auray two-section broadcast arm with
external springs. This versatile and sturdy broadcast arm is for studio as
well as home use, and is ideal for broadcast, voiceovers or podcasts.
The BAE-series broadcast arms are designed with external balance
springs that are precision engineered to support and hold in place
microphones of up to 3.6 lb. (1.6 kg). The design also minimizes
handling noise when repositioning the arm. The broadcast arm features
a standard 5/8˝-27 microphone stud mount that is compatible with
most shockmounts and microphone clips. The angle of the microphone
stud mount can be adjusted and secured with the locking knob, and
the angle is maintained when repositioning the arm – eliminating the
need to readjust it every time the arm is moved. An extension of up to
39 inches, back to front movement with a range of 100°, and the ability
to rotate the arm 360° allow for precise microphone placement.
The BAE series features a heavy-duty combo mount that consists of a sturdy
C-clamp and a heavy-metal desktop mount. The C-clamp is capable of
fastening onto desktops up to 2.3-inches thick. The C-clamp’s slim design
minimizes the clearance needed to mount it between the desk and wall.
The desktop mount detaches from the C-clamp and provides the option of
permanent installation to a desktop with the mounting screws (included).
A 14-inch riser is included for adding height to the broadcast
arm so that it extends over computer or studio monitors.
Options are available with integrated 15-foot Kopul 2000 XLR cable
(BAE-2X), or a 10-foot Type A to Type B USB cable (BAE-2U).
