Instructions Setting up the RF-C12 4 1. Screw the telescoping shaft into the threaded mount of the stand until tight. 1 2. Seat the sliding assembly over the threaded mount, and use one of the 5/8-inch adapters to secure it. 2 3. Remove the extender endcap. 3 2. Then loosen the assembly’s twist lock, and slide the extender through the twist lock. 3 4. Tighten the lock, and replace the endcap. 3 5. Attach the isolation filter to the 3/8-inch threaded mount on the adapter.
Attaching a Microphone 1. If you’re using a handheld-style, attach a mic clip (not included) to the 5/8-inch mic mount. 5 If you’re using a large-diaphragm microphone with a shock-mount, attach the shock mount to the 5/8-inch mic mount, and tighten until secure. 5 2. Use the wheel lock to further secure the shock mount. You may need to loosen the locking wheel so you can position the shock mount and microphone facing toward you. Microphone Height 1. Support the mic with one hand, and rotate the extender’s twist lock counterclockwise to loosen. 7 2. Adjust the mic height, and tighten the twist-lock until secure. 7 Microphone Depth 1. Support the mic assembly with one hand, and rotate the depth locking wheel clockwise to loosen. 8 2. Slide the assembly to the desired depth. The farther away from the filter, the more room ambience you will record. 3. Rotate the depth locking wheel counterclockwise until secure.
4. Invert the sliding assembly, and place the mount over the filter’s top threaded mount. 5. Use the other 5/8-inch adapter to secure the assembly. 10 6.
