Parental control
Screen what you watch with the Parental Control PIN function
Parental Control is a valuable service which is important for families with children. By setting your 4 digit parental
control PIN, you can control access to your TV service even when you’re not around. The feature works by
blocking programs (recorded or currently showing) based on their censorship classifications, however it can also
be used to protect all Box Office orders or to remove Adults Only Select sessions titles from display.
Note: Local Channel programs (which are broadcast terrestrially) are accessible at all times, as they are not
PINprotected.
Setting your level of Parental Control
To set your desired level of Parental Control:
Launch the Setup menu, press the
button on the MyStar remote control
Use your
and arrows to move the on-screen highlighter to ‘Parental Control’ and then press
(see figure 41)
Highlight ‘Classifications’ and press
(see figure 42). Then enter your 4-digit PIN using the number buttons
on the MyStar remote control (you will always start with 1234 until you have chosen your own ‘Parental Control’
