Some models prior
to
this were fitted with series G.S.3. engine (see manual publication No. 441D). When ordering
parts note engine and chassis numbers quoted on spare parts list.
The engine number is located on the right-hand side
of
the cylinder block and the chassis number on the chassis.
adjacent to the engine front mounting bracket, on the opposite side
of
the steering column.
For
quick reference these
numbers are stamped on a plate attached to the sun visor on all models except the
Sports, where
it
is fixed to the inside
of
the glovebox lid. Except where specifically stated, all information given for the Saloon should be regarded
as
also
appertaining to the
Coupe and Commercial models.
