TX3014, Dual Priority
Voice Operated Muting Module
Installation Instructions
Thank you for choosing an Australian Monitor Installation Series TX3014 dual priority voice operated muting module.
The TX3014 allows for muting of all other channels when signal is present on channel 1 and will also mute channel 3 and
onwards when signal is present on channel 2. Installation into either the Australian Monitor Installation Series SA60,
SA120, TX6000 or TX8000 is made simple by utilising a standard ‘end’ type connector which simply plugs into a
receptacle inside the mixer or amplifier. Please follow these easy instructions for installation.
The installation of the TX3014 involves access to the inside of the mixer or amplifier. Installation should only be
attempted by a qualified technician. Always turn off AC power and remove the AC power cord before attempting to
access the inside of any Australian Monitor Installation Series mixer or amplifier.
For installation into the SA series mixer amplifiers: Locate the 8 pin ‘end’ connector found on location X3 on the
mixer PCB in between the input gain pots for Ch 2 and Ch 3. This ‘end’ connector is divided into two separate parts
consisting of 5 pins and 3 pins. Remove both of these filler plugs and discard. Connect the module to this receptacle,
ensuring that the black trace found on the wires of the module is facing the front of the amplifier.
For installation into the TX6000 mixer: Locate the 8 pin ‘end’ connector found on location X3 on the mixer PCB in
between the input gain pots for Ch 2 and Ch 3. This ‘end’ connector is divided into two separate parts consisting of 5
pins and 3 pins. Remove both of these filler plugs and discard. Connect the module to this receptacle, ensuring that the
black trace found on the wires of the module is facing the front of the amplifier.
For installation into the TX8000 mixer: Locate the 8 pin ‘end’ connector found on the mixer PCB behind the input gain
pot for Ch 1. This ‘end’ connector is divided into two separate parts consisting of 5 pins and 3 pins. Remove both of
these filler plugs and discard. Connect the module to this receptacle, ensuring that the black trace found on the wires of
the module is facing the front of the amplifier (so that the wires exit towards the left hand side of the mixer when looking
from the front).
