4.2.3 Protection again󰄋 unintended movements from the 󰄋and󰄋ill position (UMFS)
Unintended movements of the Machine, that is Machine movements that are
not activated by movements of the actuators, may occur due to electrical or
mechanical failure or malfunction that may affect the Radio Remote Control.
The Autec Radio Remote Control includes a function that seeks to protect the Machine from
such unintended movements by electronically checking the re󰘵 position of actuators in the
Radio Remote Control. The re󰘵 position of the actuators on the Transmitting Unit is the neutral
position. When the actuators are in such neutral position, no command from the Transmitting
Unit directing a Machine movement is being sent.
Each time one of the actuators is moved, the Transmitting Unit sends both the movement
command and the “SAFETY” command through this function. This feature is designed to check
whether the actuator is in fact out of the neutral position: if the Radio Remote Control detects
that the actuator is in the neutral position, it ignores the command.
