The scan tool can work in two modes: Scan Tool Mode and Ready
Test Mode. The former is used to check the I/M readiness monitor
status before performing OBD II diagnostics; the latter is used to
perform the I/M readiness monitor status quick-check to determine if
the tested vehicle is ready for an emission test.
Use the UP/DOWN scroll button to select Scan Tool Mode or
Ready Test Mode and press the OK button to save your selection
and return to previous screen.
1) Scan Tool Mode
Scan Tool Mode is the default work mode. In this mode, after the
vehicles monitors have run and completed their diagnosis and testing,
the scan tool will turn to OBDII diagnostic procedures. The detailed
functions are described below.
The monitors refresh every 2 minutes.
2) Ready Test Mode
In this mode, after the vehicles monitors have run and completed
their diagnosis and testing, the scan tool will return to the previous
screen. So it is mostly used to check the monitors status.
The monitors refresh every 2 minutes.
