While performing the Zero Point Calibration on Toyota vehicles, do
not tilt, move or shake the vehicle. The vehicle must remain in a
stationary condition throughout the entire process. Be sure to perform
the procedure on a level surface with an inclination of less than 1%.
1. If the vehicle is equipped with an A/T, ensure that the shift lever
is in the “P” range and the parking brake is applied. If the vehicle
is equipped with an M/T, ensure that the parking brake is applied.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Locate the vehicle’s 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC).
4. Plug the scan tool cable connector into the vehicle’s DLC.
5. Turn the ignition on but do not start the engine.
6. Turn on the scan tool and wait for the Main Screen to appear.
7. Use the UP/DOWN scroll button and LEFT/RIGHT scroll
button to select SAS in the Main Screen (Figure 3.1).
8. Wait for a series of vehicle identification screens appears for user
to identify the vehicle (Figure 10.1). On each screen that appears,
use the UP/DOWN scroll button to select the correct option and
then press the OK button. Do this until the vehicle is completely
identified.
