Operators Manual 1 This manual provides you with guidance on the installation, daily operation and basic maintenance of your freestanding vending machine and indicates when you should call a qualified service engineer for assistance. Operators Manual 1. 2. Important! It is essential that you, or any other personnel responsible for installing and servicing your machine, understand the following: The installation and commissioning of your machine should only be carried out by a trained and authorised service engineer. All water and electrical services must be correctly and safely connected. 3. All covers must be replaced correctly and securely and your machine left in a safe condition. 1.
4 Section 2 - Installation (Engineerʼs Procedure) 2.3 Connecting the Electrical Supply INFINITY Safety First! Your machine must be earthed. On no account should it be earthed only to the water supply pipe. Your machine must be connected to a 230 Volt 50Hz 13 amp fused switched socket outlet, installed to the latest edition of the IEE regulations, using a 3 pin BS approved 13 amp fused plug.
Operators Manual All Models: Rotate soluble/freshbrew ingredient canister outlets to upright position. Remove the milk canister from the machine and remove the lid. Place the canister into the canister filling station located on the door (a) and fill canister with correct ingredient. a DO NOT place the canister on the floor or overfill with ingredient. Carefully remove the canister from the filling station and replace the lid.
6 Section 3 - How To Vend A Drink Section 3 - How To Vend A Drink INFINITY The Autobar INFINITY freestanding drinks vendor features an interactive menu display. The intuitive full-colour LCD, with direct selection touch-panel, makes it easy for the customer to produce a drink to their preferred taste and strength. 3.1 Selecting A Drink If the machine has not been used within 30 seconds, then it will automatically display the idle screen.
Operators Manual 7 2. If no further adjustment is required press Start to begin the vend (see 3.3 Vending A Drink). To obtain a stronger or milder beverage press the corresponding Stronger or Milder touch-key. In this example Stronger is pressed twice to achieve a strength selection of five as shown. If no further adjustment is required press Start to begin the vend (see 3.3 Vending A Drink). 3.2 Adding Milk/Sugar If milk is required select Melk by pressing the corresponding touch-key.
8 INFINITY Section 3 - How To Vend A Drink If sugar is required select Suiker by pressing the corresponding touch-key. The screen updates and displays the menu as shown. The default sugar level is two. If more or less sugar is required press the corresponding [+] or [–] touch-key. There are three milk levels available for this selection. N.B. Certain drink selections do not allow milk to be added, e.g. Cappuccino. Both strength and Sugar options remain available.
Operators Manual Once the drink has been dispensed the screen will display the message as shown. The drink can then be carefully removed from the dispense area. N.B. After the drink has been removed by the customer the screen will briefly display a thank you message as shown. The machine will beep once, then return to standby mode. 10 Section 4 - Cleaning And Re-filling Procedures Section 4 - Cleaning And Re-filling Procedures INFINITY The quality of drinks produced by your machine can only be maintained if it is cleaned regularly following the schedule outlined.

Turn the whipper base (c) anti-clockwise until it releases (first click). Remove mixer units (d) and impeller (e). Turn the whipper base (c) anti-clockwise again (second click), pull the whipper base from the shaft.
12 Section 4 - Cleaning And Re-filling Procedures 4.4.3 Extract Tray 1. Remove the extract tray from the machine (a). Using a dry brush clean the area under the extract tray. 3. Wipe the canister shelf and the upper interior of the machine with a clean, damp sanitised cloth. 2. 4. INFINITY Clean the extract tray. Dry and refit to the machine. a Refit the whipper system components (see para; 4.4.2 for details). 4.4.
Operators Manual 13 Remove the cup catcher moulding complete with drain pipe. Pull back the central catch (f) to release the complete drip tray assembly (g). This can now be removed from its mounting brackets. The drip tray assembly can be disassembled into its individual tray and grill components for ease of cleaning (h). f h g Clean the cup catcher and drain pipe in the sanitiser solution. Rinse the components with clean water and dry thoroughly.
14 INFINITY Section 4 - Cleaning And Re-filling Procedures 4.4.9 Cash Box Open the coin mechanism cover (a). Wipe the inside with a damp cloth. Un-lock the cashbox (if fitted) located on the rear of the door and remove from the machine. Remove any coinage from the cashbox. Refit the cashbox to the machine, turning the lock to secure. Operators Manual Your machine is fitted with a service keypad mounted on the rear of the door. This keypad contains the Operators Program entry key and also allows the operator to carry out specific functions during routine cleaning and maintenance. N.B. During certain operations e.g. View Counters it is necessary for the operator to utilise the LCD mounted on the front of the door to access data. The service keypad allows the operator to carry out the following functions: 5.

Dual Paperless Brewer: Using the clamp supplied, close the tea outlet tube as shown. Caution: Ensure that a suitable container is placed under the dispense position. This button enables an engineer to work safely on the water system and should not be used by the operator. 5.11 Button 11 - CoEx® Tablet Clean (B2C Machines Only) This button when pressed, initiates the CoEx® brewer tablet cleaning routine. Crane Merchandising Systems recommends that this brewer cleaning routine should be carried out on a weekly basis. 5.
18 Section 6 - Programming Mode Section 6 - Programming Mode 6.1 Drink Selection Interface 6.2 Navigating through the Menu Display INFINITY Programming mode utilises the drink selection Interface (illustrated below) and allows the engineer to view and alter stored data within the machines memory. Operators Manual 1. 2. 3. 6.4 Accessing the Programming Mode Open the front door of the machine. The LCD will automatically display The Operatorʼs Programming Mode. To access the Operatorʼs Root Menu, press the Program Entry key (1) on the service keypad, located inside the door (see Section 5 - Service Keypad Functions for details). The LCD will display the screen as shown. Enter the 4 digit operatorʼs entry pin code using the touch-keys. N.B.
20 Section 6 - Programming Mode 1. Check Boxes: The example opposite shows Days of Week within the Sanitation Events Menu. This screen allows the engineer to choose multiple days of the week on which a specific function will take place. INFINITY Using the touch-keys, select the day on which the Sanitation Event is to take place, an ✔ appears in its adjacent box indicating that it is selected. Continue until all required days have been selected. To return to the previous screen press Up One Level. 2.
Operators Manual 21 To access the Operatorʼs Program, enter the programming mode as described in 6.3 Accessing the Programming Mode. Once in the Operatorʼs Program, the LCD on the front of the machine will display the top level programming menu screen - Main Menu (illustrated below). From here the operator can easily navigate through all of the menus contained within the Operators Program (see 6.2 Navigating through the Menu Display for details). 7.
22 Section 7 - Operatorʼs Program Free Vend-£ Free Vend-# INFINITY Displays the total monetary value of all free vends in £ Displays the total number of free vends N.B. All sales data is presented in a format required by the latest European Vending Association Data Transfer Standards (EVA DTS). Surcharge data fields are not supported by this machine. 3. Referencing the list displayed, record the audit data. When complete, press Previous Page to return to the Non Resettable Sales Data menu screen. 6.
Operators Manual 23 This menu contains similar data to that available from the Non Resettable Sales Data menu. However, once viewed and recorded, data from this menu can be cleared from the machines memory. 1. 2. 3. 4. Navigate: Data Recall / Resettable Sales Data (Overall Totals, By Product, Cash, Cashless or Token Vends). Select Overall Totals. This menu displays both the total £ amount and total vend count (since the last time it was cleared) for the data fields shown. N.B. Please see 7.
24 Section 7 - Operatorʼs Program 2. INFINITY Select Power Losses. The LCD will display the screen as shown below. This screen displays a list of the most recent occasions (up to 10) when power to the machine has been disconnected in date, time of day and period format. 7.1.4 SureVendTM This menu becomes available only when SureVendTM is enabled via the Product Configuration menu (see 7.4.3 SureVendTM). 1. 2. Navigate: Data Recall / SureVendTM (Cup Drop Failures, SV Assisted, Clear Data).
Operators Manual 25 Entry into this menu allows the operator to enter individual prices for each drink selection available, one price for all drink selections and set a discount to be applied for customers who use their own cup/mug. The menu also allows the operator to view the highest and lowest price set in the machines memory. N.B. Values entered via this menu are only applicable to machines fitted with a coin/card system. 7.3.
26 Section 7 - Operatorʼs Program 7.3.2 Entire Machine INFINITY This sub menu allows the operator to set a single price for all selections available from the machine. 1. Navigate: Price / Entire Machine. The LCD will display the screen, with the current value (e.g. 40p), as shown. 2. To update the value, e.g. set a price of 50p, press the sequence 0-5-0 using the appropriate touch-keys. 3. Press Save to keep the changes and return to the Price menu screen. The new price is now displayed.
Operators Manual 27 Section 7 - Operatorʼs Program 2. 3. To update the value, e.g. set a price of 25p, press the sequence 0-2-5 using the appropriate touch-keys. Press Save to keep the changes and return to the Price menu screen. The new mug discount is now displayed. 7.3.4 View High/Low Price This allows the operator to view the highest and lowest values in force, programmed via the Individual Prices sub menu. N.B. If a single price is currently in force, this value will be displayed in both fields.
28 Section 7 - Operatorʼs Program 7.4.2 Disable Selections INFINITY This sub menu allows the operator to disable individual drink selections as necessary. 1. 2. 3. 4. Navigate: Product Configuration / Disable Selections (all drink selections). The LCD will display the screen as shown. Press the first drink selection to be disabled, an ✔ appears in its adjacent box indicating that it is selected. Continue until all required drink selections have been selected.
Operators Manual 3. To disable SureVend™, select Disabled. A filled radio button indicates that it is selected. To save the new parameter to the machines memory and return to the Product Configuration screen, press Up One Level. 7.4.4 Cup Mechanism This menu enables the cup drop unit to be switched on or off, the default is On. This is for users who wish to vend drinks into their own cups. SureVendTM still monitors the cup station and will not dispense drinks without a cup in the dispense area. 1.

To save the new parameter to the machines memory and return to the Machine Information screen, press Save. To update the machineʼs location, select Machine Location. Update the entry using the appropriate touch-keys. To save the new parameter to the machines memory and return to the Machine Information screen, press Save.

To decrease the day, month or year, press the appropriate [–]. e.g. To update the date displayed (29 March 2010) to 30 March 2010 press [+] once only, using the coresponding touch-key (far left). To save the new date to the machines memory and return to the Clock screen, press Save.
32 Section 7 - Operatorʼs Program To set a standard time-zone by GMT: 1. 2. 3. 4. 7.6.3 DTS INFINITY Navigate: System Settings / Clock / Daylight Saving Time / Select Standard Timezone. The LCD will display the screen as shown. in the following example the machineʼs time-zone is set appropriately for Central European Time (GMT +1) with daylight saving applied (Central European Summer Time). From the list displayed, select GMT+1. A filled radio button indicates that it is selected.
Operators Manual To enable the DEX setting, select DEX. A filled radio button indicates that it is selected. 3. To save the new parameter to the machines memory and return to the DTS Menu screen, press Up One Level. N.B. Even if the default is set to DDCMP, once the controller detects a DEX activity, it will automatically switch to the other mode. However, setting the default to the correct protocol will speed up response time.
34 Section 7 - Operatorʼs Program Printer Baud Rate INFINITY This allows the operator to set the correct baud rate for a serial printer if one is to be used. It is important for this to be set correctly to ensure successful data transfer. To change the Printer Baud Rate see 6.4 Entering or Updating Parameters. When complete, press Up One Level twice to return to the System Settings menu screen. 7.6.
Operators Manual To return the machine to standby mode (at any point), close the front door. On returning to standby mode, the LCD will display the standby message with the time and/or date as selected. To re-enter the programming mode, see 6.3 Accessing the Programming Mode. 7.7 Security Codes Menu The security code for entry into the Operators Program is factory set so that the operator presses button 1 on the service keypad followed by the sequence 3-3-3-3 on the drink selection interface.
