Render Output File Dialog
Rendering menu > Render > Render dialog > Common
panel > Common Parameters rollout > Render Output
group > Click Files. > Render Output File
The Render Output File dialog lets you assign a
nametothefilethattherenderingwilloutput.
You can also determine the type of file to render.
Depending on your choice of file ty pe, you c an
also set up options such as compression, and color
depth and quality.

To name the render output file:
1.
Choose Rendering > Render, and then in
the Render Output group of the Common
Parame ters rollout, click Files.
TheRenderOutputFiledialogisdisplayed.
2. IntheFileNamefield,enterthenameforthe
file to be rendered.
3. NavigatetheSaveInfieldtochoosethe
directory where you want the rendered file to
be saved.
4. Choosethetypeoffileyouwanttorenderfrom
theSaveAsTypedrop-downlist.
5. ClickSavetoclosetheRenderOutputFile
dialog.
A dialog is displayed that lets you set the
options for the file format you chose. Adjust
these s ettings (or leave them at their defaults),
and then click OK.
6. On the Render Scene dialog, click Render to
render and save the file.
Note: If a file of t he same name already exists,
you will b e asked if you want to over write
it. Enable the check box if you want to
automatically overwrite this file without being
prompted for the duration of the session.
To set up options for th e render output fil e:
1.
Choose Rendering > Render and then in
theRenderOutputgroupoftheCommon
Parameters rollout, click Files.

file to be rendered.
3. NavigatetheSaveInfieldtochoosethe
directory where you want the rendered file to
be saved.
4. Choosethetypeoffileyouwanttorenderfrom
theSaveAsTypedrop-downlist,thenclick
Save.
A dialog is displayed that lets you set the
options for the file format you chose. Adjust
thesesettings(orleavethemattheirdefaults),
and then click OK.
Note: You can also view the setup dialog by
clicking Setup, if this button is available.
Wa rn in g : Make sure the file name extension in the
File Name field matches the file type in the Save As
Type field. Changing the file type does not update
the file name a u tomatically. The file options dialog
depends on the type indicated by the file name, not
thetypeindicatedbySaveAsType.
5.
If the Render Output File dialog is still open,
click Save.
