Status bar > Status line
Thestatuslinedisplaysthenumberandtypeof
object or objects selected. The status line is located
at the bottom of the screen, just above the prompt
line (page 3–699) .
If multiple objects are selected and all are of the
same type, the number and type of the objects
are displayed: "2 cameras, 3 lights" for example.
Ifmultipleobjectsofdifferenttypesareselected,
the status line displays the number plus the word
"objects": "6 objects" for example.
Time Slider

(page 3–904).Right-clickingthesliderbaropens
the Create Ke y dialog (page 2–284),whichletsyou
create position, rotation, or scale keys without
using the Auto Key button.
When you are in Auto Ke y (page 3–717) mode, you
can right-click and drag the time slider to create
a key that has the source at the i nit ial time slider
position, and the destination at the subsequent
time slider position.
In S et Key mode (page 3–718),holdingdownthe
right mouse button and dragging the time slider
allows you to move a pose in time w ithout losing
it in the viewport.
To move one frame back or forward, click the
arrow on the left or right side of the time slider,
respectively. Or simply place your cursor anywhere
onthetimeline,clickandthetimesliderwilljump
to your cursor position. In Key Mode (page 3–724),
clicking an arrow jumps to the adjacent key.
The Track View Key window displays a time slider
as well. T he movement of the two time slider is
sy nchronized. Moving the t ime slider in the Track
View window also moves the time slider below the
viewports, and vice-versa.
Procedures
To move to a specifi c fr ame in the a nima tion, do one
of the fol lowi ng:
Drag(scrub)thetimesliderrightorleftuntil
the fr ame number is displayed on the time
slider.
Type the frame number
intothecurrentframefieldinthetimecontrols,
and then press
Enter .
To move ahead or back a frame or a k ey at a time,
do one of the foll owing:
By default, Key Mode (page 3–724) is off, and these
controls move a f rame at a time. To move by keys,
click the Key Mode Toggle button; this turns on
Key Mode. When Key Mode is on, the button
looks like this:
Click the < or > button at either end of the time
slider.
•Pressthe
< or > key on the keyboard.
WhenKeyModeisoff,clicktheNext
Frame or Previous Frame button in the time
controls.
When K ey Mode is on, click the Next
K ey or Previous Key button in the time controls.
