Utilities Dialog 779
Sets—
Displays a list of button sets to choose from.
By default, there is only one button set, called
MAX Default. You can create custom button sets
by clicking Configure Button S ets.
Co nfigure Button SetsDisplays the Configure
Button Sets dialog (page 3–779),whereyoucan
create custom button sets of up to 32 buttons.
Named utility buttons—These buttons show a
selection of ut ilities. Click one of these buttons to
run a utility. The utilit y’s p arameters can appear in
rollouts below the Utilities rollout. Some utilities
use a dialog rather than rollouts.
While a utility is r unning, its button remains active
until you click it again to turn it off and close
the utility, or when you click a different utility’s
button.
ManyutilitieshaveaClosebuttonthatappearsat
the b ottom of their rollout. This is another way
tocloseautility.Iftheutilitycontrolsappearin
a dialog rather t han a rollout, closing the dialog
closes the utility.
Utilities Dialog
Utilities panel > Utilities rollout > More... button
This dialog lists all utilities t hat are not already
displayed in c urrent button set of the Ut ility
rollout.
Procedure
To run a utility shown in the Utilities dialog, do one
of the fol lowi ng:
Choose a utility in the list and then click OK.
Double-click the utility’s name.

This dialog lets you create custom button sets for
the Utilities panel. Once create d, these utility sets
are available from the Sets button on the Utilities
panel.
Procedures
To customi ze the current button set:
1.
UseTotalButtonstochoosethenumberof
buttons in the set.
2. Assign buttons by dragging the names of
utilities in the Utilities list to buttons in the
Utilities group box.
