You can rearrange the components of the 3ds Max
user interface, including the menu bar, toolbars,
and command panel. You c an also dynamically
resize the viewport windows. You can specify
which toolbars should appear and which should be
hidden, and create your own keyboard shortcuts,
custom toolbars, and quad menus. You can also
customize the colors used in the User Interface.

Useful Customization Techniques
This topic offers a number of procedures

Procedures
To switch between a single-v iewport and
multi-v iewport layout:
By default, 3ds Max star ts with a
multi-viewport.Toswitchtoasingle-viewport
layout, activate a viewport and click the
Min/Max Toggle (page 3–738).
To r esize the windows in a multi-viewport l ayout:
With your cursor, click the splitter bar between
any two viewports, or at the intersection of all
four viewports, and drag to a new location.
When you release the mouse, the new viewp or t
layout is defined.
The dividers are saved in the scene, but are reset
when you change the layout. This feature does
not allow you to define new layouts, only to
adjust the proportions of the currently existing
ones.
