When you start the Plug-in Manager, it scans
through all the plug-in paths specified in the
plugin.ini file and lists them in the Plug-in
Manager dialog. The information is divided up
into columns as descr ibed below.
TagUse the right-click menu and select T ag
Selected to add a check mark for selected plug-ins.
Tagging plug-ins lets you perform right-click
menu actions on t hem. Thus you can tag multiple
plug-ins and per form a single operation on all of
them.
Name—Thefilenameoftheplug-in.
Description—A description of the plug-in.
Status—Indicates whether the plug-in is loaded
(green) or deferred ( yellow).
Size—File size of the plug-in.
Full Pat hThe disk location of the plug-in file.
Plug-in Directories
These are the plug-in directories listed in
plugin.ini. You can also configure these paths via
the 3rd Party Plug-Ins panel (page 3–814) of the
Configure U ser Paths dialog. You can display or
hide all the plug-ins in a d irectory by toggling the
check box.
Descr iption—Shows director y description from
plugin.ini file.
Loa d Path The path of the plug-in directory.
Right-Click Menu
The right-click menu for the Plug-in Manager
works in t he list of plug-ins, and in the blank area
beneath the list. It does not work in the list of
plug-in directories. The commands apply to two
possible states for the listed plug-ins: selec ted (that
is, high lig hted) and tag ged (a check mark appears
to the lef t of the plug-in’s name).
Selected Plug-ins—To load plug-ins, highlight
oneormoreplug-ins,choosethisitem,andthen
choose Load.
Clear S election—Removes hig h lig hting f rom all
items in the list.
Tagged Plug-ins—To load t agged plug-ins, choose
this item, and then choose Load.
Tag SelectedTags all highlighted plug-ins.
Cle ar Tag sClears all tags.
Load New Plug-in—L oads a plug-in from the hard
drive. Use the file dialog to locate the plug-in, and
then click Open.
Refresh V iewRefreshes the list of plug-ins.
