To fuse two CVs:
1.
Turn on Fuse .
2. Click a CV without releasing the mouse button.
Drag to another C V, and then release the mouse
button.
ThefirstCVyouchooseacquirestheposition
of the second CV, and becomes dependent to it.
If the first CV has a n a nimation controller, t he
controller is discarded. If the second CV has
an animation controller, the first CV acquires
it too .
Note: Fused CV s display in purple by default.
To unf use fused CV s
1.
Select the fused CV.
2. Click Unfuse.
NowyoucanmoveandeditthetwoCVs
independently.
To tr ans for m a r egion:
1.
Using sub-object selection, select one or more
CVs for the center of t ransformation.
2. Turn on S oft S election.
3. Transform the CV.
A region around the selected CV is transformed
accordingly.
Move is the most common transform to use.
Rotate and Scale can be used w ith a non-local
transform center.
Tip: If Soft Selection appears not to be working,
theFalloffvaluemightbetoosmallforthesize
of your surface. On the Soft Selection (page
1–1147) rollout, increase the value of Falloff so it
encomp asses other CVs.

Selection rollout (page 1–1147).
