the changes in 3ds Max. As you proceed through
the documentation, keep an eye out for the

General Improvements
ThenewSamplefunctionintheColor Selector
dialog (page 1–161) lets you grab colors from
anywhere on the screen.
Parameter wiring (page 2–412) is made easier
w ith the dialog’s new abilit y to list only nodes
that are selected in the scene.
Gettingarenderedimageintoabitmapeditor
is a snap with the Rendered Frame W indow’s
(page 3–5) newCopyBitmapfunction.

3ds Max supports mult iple materials per object
in DWG files expor ted as ACIS solids from
Revit Architecture/Structure/MEP 2008 and
later, as well as solid primitives created in
AutoCAD Architecture 2008 (formerly ADT)
and later. See Support of Multiple Materials on
Imported ACIS Solids (page 3–537).
DWF Export (page 3–555) now supports named
camera views, so you can choose different views
by name in t he DWF Viewer program.
Reloading XRef items works correctly even
whenanobjectinthesourcescenehasbeen
renamed, or deleted and then re-created with
thesamename.
•ThenewSelect Similar (page 1–88) command
lets you select all items in an imported or linked
DWG file with the same style(s) (page 3–461),
as defined i n AutoCAD Architecture.
