Genera te M apping Coords—
Generates coordinates
for applying mapped materials to the chamfered
cylinder. Default=on.
Real-World Map Size—Controls the scaling method
used for texture mapped materials that are applied
totheobject. Thescalingvaluesarecontrolled
by the Use Real-World Scale settings found in
the applied material’s Coor dinates rollout (page
2–1625). Default=off.

Object Type rollo ut > OilTank button
Create menu > Extended Primitives > Oil Tank
Use OilTank to create a cylinder with convex caps.
Examples of oil tanks
Procedure
To create an oil tank:
1.
FromtheCreatemenu,chooseExtended
Primitives > Oil Tank.
2. Drag the mouse to define the radius of the base
of the oil tank.
3. Releasethemousebutton,andthenmovethe
mouseverticallytodefinetheheightoftheoil
tank. Click to set the height.
4. Movethemousediagonallytodefinetheheight
of the con v ex caps (toward the upper left to
increase the height; toward the lower r i ght to
decrease it).
5. Click again to fin ish the oil tank.

Creation Method rollout
Edge—Draws the object from edge to edge. You
can change the center location by moving the
mouse.
CenterDraws the object from the center out.
Parameters rollout
Radius—Sets the radius of the oil tank.
Height—Sets the dimension along the cen tral
axis. Negative values create the oil tank below the
construction plane.
Cap He ight—Sets the height of the convex caps.
The minimum value is 2.5% of the Radius setting.
