Upper Limit—Sets the upper boundary in world

Lower L imit—Sets the lower boundary in world
units from the bend center point b eyond w hich
the bend no longer affects geometry. D efault=0.
Range=-999,999.0 to 0.
Bevel Modifier
Select a shape. > M odify panel > M odifier List > Bevel
The Bevel modifier ext rudes shapes into 3D
objectsandappliesaflatorroundbeveltothe
edges. A common use for this modifier is to create
3D text and logos, but you can apply it to any
shape.
Bevel takes a shape as the base of a 3D object. You
then extrude the shape up to four levels and assign
an outline amount for each level.

Procedure
Ex ample: To create bevel ed tex t:
This example produces typical 3D beveled text,
with equal bevels in front and back.
1. Create text (page 1–278) using default settings.
Font=Arial, Size=100.0.
2. Apply the Bevel modifier.
3. Ty pe -1.0 in the Start O utline field.
4. For Level 1, do the following:
•Type5.0 for Height.
•Type2.0 for Outline.
5. Turn on Level 2, and do the following:
•Type5.0 for Height.
•Type0.0 for Outline.
6. Tu r n on Level 3 and do the follow ing:
•Type5.0 for Height.
•Type-2.0 for Outline.
7. If needed, turn on Keep Lines From Crossing.
