Cloth Modifier 601
Anisotropic
When on, you can set different U
and V values for the Bend, B-Curve, and Stretch
parameters. The U and V directions are defined
by Garment Maker (page 1–607) and do not apply
to non-Garment Maker meshes, for which sett ing
different U /V values might result in unexpected
behavior.
UseEdgeSpringsThis is an alternative method
for calculating stretch. When this option is on,
stretch force is based on spr ings along t riangle
edges. (Whereas normally the stretch and shear
forces are calculated in a more sophisticated
manner to more accurately reflect the underlying
physics).
Use S olid Friction—Uses the friction of the collision
object to determine friction. Values for collision
can be assigned either to the cloth or the collision
objects. This enables you to set different friction
values for each collision object
Keep ShapeWhen on, preserves the shape of the
mesh based on the Bend % and Stretch % settings
(see following). In norma l operation, w hen Cloth
creates a simulation, it tries to "flatten out" the
cloth.
Bend %Mod ulates the target bend angles to a
value between 0.0 and the angles defined by the
target state.Anegativevalueinvertstheangles.
Range=-100.0 to 100.0. Default=100.0.
Stretch % M odulates the target stretch angles to
avaluebetween0.0andtheanglesdefinedbythe
target state.Anegativevalueinvertstheangles.
Range=-100.0 to 100.0. Default=100.0.
Seams rollout
The Seams sub-object rollout is used to define
seam proper ties.
On—Tur n the se am on or off to m ake it ac t ive or
inactive.
Cr e ase a n g le—Creates a crease at your seam. The
anglevaluewilldeterminetheangleofthecrease
that will be between the two panels. (Can be
positive or negative depending on which way you
want to crease)
Left: High crease angle
Right: Low crease angle
Cr e ase St ren gth—Increase or decrease the strength
of your seam. T his value will effect how much
the seam will resist bending in relation to the rest
of the cloth object. A value of 2.0 means that the
clothwillhavetwicetheresistancetobending
that it would otherwise have (as defined by the
object/panel/ver tex group properties).
Sewing Stiffness—The amount of force with which

time.Alargervaluewillpullthepanelstogether
harder and faster.
