824 | Chapter 30 Publish Drawing Sets
5 In the Publish Drawing Sheets dialog box, under Publish To, select Multi-
Sheet DWF File. Click Browse.
6 In the Select DWF File dialog box, enter a file name and click Select to pro-
vide the name and destination for the DWF file.
Note You can also enter a URL so that the DWF file is uploaded to an FTP or
HTTP site.
7 To add a password to protect the DWF file, enter a password in the Pass-
word or Phrase Used to Protect This DWF File box.
DWF passwords are case sensitive. The password or phrase can be made up
of letters, numbers, punctuation, or non-ASCII characters.
Warning! If you lose or forget the password, it cannot be recovered. Keep
a list of passwords and their corresponding DWF file names in a safe place.
8 Click Publish to start the electronic drawing set creation. If you added a
password to the DWF file, in the Confirm Password dialog box, re-enter
your password, and then click OK.
Next, in the Publishing Complete dialog box, you can view the DWF file
and save the log file.
The log file provides status information about the publishing process such
as which sheets were plotted and which ones were not. Log files are saved
as CSV (Comma Separated Values) files that can be viewed in a spreadsheet
program.
Warning! If you don’t save the log file while the Publishing Complete dia-
log box is open, you cannot retrieve the list later. The log file goes away when
you close the dialog box.
9 If you want to save the log file, in the Publishing Complete dialog box,
click Save Log File. In the Save Log File dialog box, enter a name for the
log file, click Save, and then click Close in the Publishing Complete dialog
box.
