Setting the dialpad to alphanumeric dialing
You can set the dialpad of the IP Phone 1120E to alphanumeric as the
default. This setting eliminates the need to press the abc/123 Context-
sensitive soft key when entering text. The abc/123 Context-sensitive soft
key can still toggle between alphabetic and numeric input, but alphabetic
is the default.
To set the dialpad to alphanumeric as the default:
To disable alpha dialing and set numeric as the default:
Prefs
1. Press the Prefs Context-sensitive soft
key and select Misc Options. Highlight
Alpha Dialing and press the Change
Context-sensitive soft key.
2. Choose one of the following:
Press the On Context-sensitive soft
key to turn on alphanumeric dialing.
— Press the Back Context-sensitive
soft key to keep existing
configurations and return to the
Preferences menu.
Prefs
1. Press the Prefs Context-sensitive soft
key and select Misc Options. Highlight
Alpha Dialing and press the Change
Context-sensitive soft key.
