Using your IP Phone 1120E

Entering text using the USB keyboard

You can use a USB keyboard when connected to the USB port of your

IP Phone 1120E to enter text and numbers, access some features, and

duplicate specific functions.

For number entry in telephone applications (for example, when dialing),

you can use the keyboard to enter digits (0–9), as well as * and #. You

can use the alpha keys when you enter text, for example when you enter

the text of an Instant Message.

The following table shows the USB Keyboard function keys and their

associated IP Phone 1120E fixed keys.

2. Choose one of the following:

— Press the Off Context-sensitive soft

key to return the IP Phone 1120E to

numeric dialing.

— Press the Back Context-sensitive

soft key to keep existing

configurations and return to the

Preferences menu.
