Introduction

The i2050ConfigurationTool.exe is a utility which can be run to configure a IP Softphone

2050.

To use this utility:

1. Install the IP Softphone 2050 on the user’s computer

2. Edit the 2050Settings.ini file to define the configuration required for the end user

3. Download the i2050ConfigurationTool.exe and the 2050Settings.ini file to the user’s

computer

4. In the user’s runtime context, open a command prompt, change current directory to

the folder with the tool and run the i2050ConfigurationTool.exe specifying the

2050Settings.ini file as the parameter.

i2050ConfigurationTool.exe 2050Settings.ini i2050ConfigurationTool writes the settings defined in the input file to the registry where the IP Softphone 2050 will subsequently read them. Each 2050Settings.ini file contains settings for one profile for an IP Softphone 2050 user. If the registry settings in the .ini file have not been previously assigned, the utility will create them. If the registry settings in the .ini file have been previously assigned, the utility will overwrite them with the new values.
