Register: S27
Description: This S-register is used to store the value of all
bit-mapped options.
bits 0, 1, 3 — transmission mode selection (set by &M
and &Q commands, see comments):
■ 0 = asynchronous mode (default)
■ 1 = synchronous mode 1
■ 2 = synchronous mode 2
■ 3 = synchronous mode 3
■ 4 = synchronous mode 4
bit 2 — switched/leased line operation (set by &L
command, see comments):
■ 0 = switched line (default)
■ 1 = leased line
bits 4, 5 — synchronous transmit clock (set by &X
command, see comments):
■ 0 = &X0 option (default)
■ 1 = &X1 option
■ 2 = &X2 option
■ 3 is not used
bit 6 — protocol for 1200 bps operation (set by B
command, see comments):
■ 0 = CCITT V.22
■ 1 = Bell 212A (default)
bit 7 — (not used - always set to 0)
