DISABLING FIRMWARE UPGRADE FROM SD CARD

To disable the rmware upgrade from the SD card, set the <sd_upgrade_disabled> tag in the

global conguration le to true.

Note: You cannot enable the rmware upgrade from the SD card after it is disabled.

The recovery process prompts to initiate the SD card-based rmware upgrade even if the

option is disabled in the conguration le. When the user selects the option to initiate the

upgrade, the following messages are displayed:

SD-card upgrade. Please wait.

SD-Upgrade disabled. Skipping upgrade.

FIRMWARE UPGRADE ON MULTIPLE PHONES

To upgrade the rmware on multiple B179 conference phones, use a device management

server.. For information about conguring and using a device management server, see Using

a device management server on Page 58.
