APPENDIX C: USING CERTIFICATES

Follow these steps to authenticate the Avaya B179 SIP Conference Phones using TLS/SIPS and

EAP-TLS:

Download the root certicate from the Certicate Server.

Create the server certicate from the Certicate Server.

Generate the private key.

Convert the certicates and private key to .PEM format.

Import the .PEM les to the B179 Phone.



Procedure

1. Download the root certicate

In the Microsoft Server Certication Authority page, click Download a CA certicate, certicate

chain, or CRL.

To download the root certicate for Avaya B179, click Download CA certicate.
