show ip dns command
The show ip dns command displays the DNS domain name, as well as any
configured DNS servers. The syntax for the
show ip dns command is:
show ip dns
The show ip dns command is in the exec command mode.
The show ip dns command has no parameters or variables.
Figure 11 displays sample output from the show ip dns command.

ping command
The ping command tests the network connection to another network device. The
command sends an Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) packet from the
switch to the target device. The local IP address must be set before issuing the
ping command.
You can ping a host using either its IP address or hostname.
The syntax for the ping command is:
ping <A.B.C.D or Hostname>
